Snyder’s Drug Store hires The Yaffe Group

Snyder’s Drug Store, with 32 stores in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, has hired The Yaffe Group to develop a marketing and advertising plan for 2009. Snyder’s is rated the number one drug store chain in the Twin Cities by a leading national consumer magazine, but in recent years has faced stiff competition in a crowded market. Minneapolis is an extremely competitive drugstore market with Snyder’s, Walgreen’s, Wal-Mart, Cub Foods, Target, and CVS offering a total of 350+ drugstores locations for customers to choose from.

To find the best opportunities to grow their business in the right way, Snyder’s is tapping into Yaffe’s full range of professional services. This will give the company a deeper situational analysis developed from a multi-disciplined approach. Snyder’s is looking for answers that go beyond just marketing and advertising solutions. Working together, Snyder’s and The Yaffe Group will drill deep into the drug store chain’s core beliefs and corporate culture and look at the market forces they face with an inside/out approach.

Meetings have already begun between top people from both companies. Once the new strategies are developed, changes will be made internally to create an environment where Snyder’s can compete successfully. Then, Yaffe will use both traditional and new media options to get the proper message out to consumers and all of Snyder’s other constituencies.

The Yaffe Group, with offices in Detroit and Houston, offers a wide range of professional services, including culture change consulting, organizational change consulting and management, employee assessment and training, crisis management, strategic planning, customer and market research, brand consulting, customer acquisition and life cycle management, advertising and marketing, media planning and buying, creative services and more. Yaffe offers all these services because it is their belief that a sustainable advantage for an organization exists at the intersection of culture, strategy and communications.
